Who we Are

The Minhas family, it is believed, originated from what is now Azad-Kashmir, and a town called "Mirhas" (sounds like Minhas). Around 350-400 years ago many members of the family emigrated South to 3 areas:

Sialkot

Faisalabad

Jullunder

It is not clear whether we were Muslims, Sikhs or Hindus at that time, although our strand of the family have been Muslim for over 250 years.  There certainly are Minhas's from each of these denominations today.
The Webmaster has met Minhas families that have no direct relation to us, and are Sikh/Hindu (from the other 2 locations).

Below is the detailed Minhas Family Tree charting our family line back to the 1600's. All Minhas family members that Rizwan knows are represented here. I am fairly sure of its accuracy, as it was authenticated from various sources, but wish further input from those who know more.
